Prime Time Family Reading (for families with children ages 6 to 10) and Prime Time Preschool (for families with children ages 3 to 5) are six-week programs designed to strengthen early literacy skills, critical thinking, and family engagement. Each week includes an interactive reading of an award-winning children’s book, discussion among families over themes found in the book, and hands-on literacy activities for preschoolers. Prime Time is FREE to host and FREE for families to attend. Humanities Nebraska accepts applications from schools, libraries, community centers, museums, churches, and other non-profit organizations. The application deadline to host a Spring 2026 Prime Time in Nebraska is December 1, so now is the time to learn more.
