Page to Stage focuses on taking a well-known storybook and bringing it to life, allowing children the opportunity to see characters jump from the page to the stage. Nationally-acclaimed actors from Crane River Theater’s upcoming production of "Disney's Frozen the Musical" will read, perform, and interact with students.

2026 North Platte Pow Wow (Read More)

Dive into a world of vibrant Native American singing and drumming, electrifying contest dancing, and special honoring ceremonies. This Pow Wow offers a fascinating insight into the rich traditions of Native culture, art, and lifestyle. Vendors will offer an array of Native American delicacies, handcrafted jewelry, intricate beadwork, and more. Watch in awe as traditional, fancy, jingle dress, and grass dancers light up the arena across three age categories, and don’t miss the special highlights for Golden Age dancers, Tiny Tots, and our honored Veterans. Admission $7 for a day pass and $15 for a weekend pass, with veterans, participants, elders and under-5 receiving free admission. Fire on the Prairie Forging Competition (Read More)

Over the course of the day, skilled forgers will use Union Pacific train springs and Osage orange wood to craft blades that will be judged by champions of the History Channels "Forged in Fire" program. The all-day event will include historical presentations, a gallery display of competitors' knives, Dutch oven cooking demonstration, vendors, and food trucks. Admission is $5, with kids 10 and under free.

There will be activities in the arena and the emcee will contribute color commentary and educate the spectators on different aspects of the dance and drumming, Native culture, art and lifestyles. Pow Wows are the Native American people’s way of meeting together, to join in dancing, singing, visiting, renewing old friendships, and making new ones. This is a time-honored ritual to renew Native American culture and preserve the rich heritage of American Indians. Grand entries will be at 7 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $15 for a weekend pass and $7 for a day pass.
