A documentary screening of "Imagining the Indian: The Fight Against Native American Mascoting" will be followed by a panel discussion featuring filmmakers Ben West and Yancey Burns that will explore Native representation, the impact of harmful stereotypes, and the movement to end Native American mascots. This event is part of a series of three screenings jointly supported by the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska, Ponca Tribe of Nebraska, Santee Sioux Nation, Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, Little Priest Tribal College, Nebraska Indian Community College, and the University of Nebraska Inter Tribal Exchange student group (UNITE) and Sheldon Museum of Art.
