Taking Care of Business: Women Leading the Way

In conjunction with a new exhibit, “WOMEN: A Century of Change,” the Nebraska History Museum will host a discussion featuring women leaders in business, past and present, and the lessons we can learn from these stories. Guests include Kylie Kinley sharing the legend of Nebraska’s Bootlegger Queen Louise Vinciquerra, founder of Sapahn Brooke Mullen, a Lincoln-based business that has a human rights first business model, Carmen Castillo, owner of RC Party Accents, an entrepreneurial enterprise, and Alaa Ismail, a student at UNL and recent Inspire award winner as moderator. There will also be comments from Dr. Marilyn Moore and a special demonstration and history lesson from Saro Cider.

5:30pm – gather and exhibition viewing
6:00pm – Signature event cocktail and history of Nebraska Cider featuring Saro Cider
6:15pm—Discussion begins
