A community group that wants to delve into its past will come away from this interactive workshop understanding what oral history is and how to make a workable plan to accomplish their goals. The two-hour workshop will emphasize practical planning steps that lead to successful projects. The workshop also will engage participants in the basics of oral history interviewing and will explore options for assuring that oral history materials are preserved for the future. A group interested in this workshop may request a three-hour workshop that will cover the topics in greater detail.
