Carrie J. Meyer is a dedicated museum curator, material culture historian, and library special collections administrator with over 19 years of combined experience. She is driven by a passion for making history accessible. She takes pride in partnering with the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and the Omaha community to preserve the history and legacy of the many faculty, staff, and students who have impacted the university. In addition to her primary job functions, Carrie has been recognized for her exhibition work integrating public history with oral history and living memory, and for digital exhibition and online learning resource creation. She holds two master’s degrees, museum studies (Baylor University) and history (University of Nebraska at Omaha) and serves on three national organization steering committees. She resides in Gretna, Nebraska, with her husband, two children, and four fur babies. Away from the office, she enjoys cross-stitching, true crime documentaries, and volunteering year-round for Operation Christmas Child.
