The Genoa U.S. Indian School Foundation is hosting the 36th annual Recognition and Remembrance Day at the Genoa U.S. Indian School site and the St. Rose of Lima Community Center. Visitors attending this year’s event will have the opportunity to participate in educational programs, guided tours, exhibits, and presentations sharing the history of the Genoa U.S. Indian School and the stories of those connected to it.

All day – guided tours of interpretive center, research center, vendor booths, student art contest

10 a.m. – welcome and opening ceremony

10:45 a.m. – presentation by Jill Hanson on Frank Hamilton

1:00 p.m. – memorial presentation

1:15 p.m. – scholarship presentation and panel of former scholarship winners, including Aaron LaPointe, Alexis Zendejas, and Kateri Hinman Petto
