Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Nebraska’s 500-Mile Sculpture Garden

Two events in Lincoln kick off the series of statewide events celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Nebraska’s 500-Mile Sculpture Garden:

3pm @ Ross Media Arts Center

The Committee for the Preservation of the I-80 Bicentennial Sculptures and the Nebraska State Historical Society Foundation will present a special screening of Nebraska’s 500 Mile Sculpture Garden, a 1976 documentary exploring the visionary I-80 Bicentennial Sculpture Project. The screening will include two other short films about the project.

Seating is limited, RSVP requested.

A panel discussion featuring leaders of the original I-80 Bicentennial Sculpture Project and artist John Raimondi who created Erma’s Desire at the Grand Island rest area.
