The Ancestral Skills demonstrations and seed festival at Meadowlark Hearth Farm east of Scottsbluff will include information on botany development and ancient history of vegetables. It will be a celebration of the seed with threshing dances and lots of hands-on small scale seed harvesting, cleaning and handling techniques, and sharing general knowledge about seed growing and seed saving. Additionally, there will be demonstrations of ancestral skills like flint knapping, cordage, wild plant identification and uses, bush craft, and ancient seed craft. The event is free an open to the public. Registration is requested.
