Description
This presentation with powerpoint checks how a dozen traditional Aesopic fables were presented — in text and image — at four times in the United States. The colonial world, the turn of the 19th into the 20th century, the time between the two world wars, and recent days have all brought fascinating interpretations and reinterpretations to age-old fables. It is fun getting back in touch with great stories and even more fun to see what witty Americans have done with them!
