Description

Rath will present an informative program on the courageous efforts of doctors and nurses to save lives during the Civil War.  He will discuss what medicine was like at this time, what challenges the conflict presented, what changes were made, and what advancements in the field of medicine were a result of the war; and he will try to dispel some of the persistent myths about Civil War medicine.
