Humanities Nebraska grants staff members are available to support you throughout the grant process. Our Grant Application Requirements page is a good place to start gathering information.

This page lists upcoming online grant information sessions. For questions about these opportunities, contact Grants Management & Outreach Specialist Katie Bradshaw.

In addition to the information sessions listed below, individual grant consultations are available during regular office hours Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. central time by phone at 402-474-2131 or email at info@humanitiesnebraska.org. HN grants staff will provide feedback on a draft grant application if the request comes a week or more before the deadline.

Questions may also be sent directly to individual grants staff members via email:

Traveling In-Person Office Hours

A member of Humanities Nebraska’s grants team will be making stops in the western portion of the state to share information about the program grants Humanities Nebraska offers to nonprofit organizations, museums, libraries, schools, and local governments. Anyone who would like information or advice about submitting a grant application or would like to talk about previously-funded grants or their upcoming projects is invited to stop by to talk to Humanities Nebraska’s Grants Management and Outreach Specialist Katie Bradshaw.

Traveling office hours will be held in:

  • North Platte on Fri., April 4, from 11 a.m. to noon CDT at the Lincoln County Historical Museum, 2403 N Buffalo Bill Ave.
  • Gering on Mon., April 7, from 11 a.m. to noon MDT at Legacy of the Plains Museum, 2930 Old Oregon Trail.
  • Holdrege on Wed., April 9, from 2 to 3 p.m. CDT at the Phelps County Community Foundation, 424 Garfield St.

Bradshaw will also be attending the Nebraska Museums Association Conference in Alliance on Tues., April 8, and can speak to people at the conference as well.

Online grants office hours

Humanities Nebraska is offering live online grant office hours with Grants Management & Outreach Specialist Katie Bradshaw. These office hours will take place via Zoom 3-4 weeks before each grant deadline.

There is no structure to these informal office hours, though sometimes the session may begin with a specific topic discussion. Drop in anytime during the hour to discuss grant ideas, get clarifications about application questions, or ask anything else you’d like to know about humanities grants.

The link for each office hours Zoom will be sent to anyone who has applied to Humanities Nebraska for a grant in the last year, anyone who has signed up for a grant workshop, and anyone who requests to be added to the grants mailing list.

To request to be added to the Humanities Nebraska grants email list, please register below.
