SUMMARY:registration deadline for Roots to Rise youth summer camp in Lincoln
DESCRIPTION:Roots to Rise is a cultural enrichment camp grounded in Indigenous ways for youth in grades K-8. Participants are given tools and space to reflect on and explore their own culture and that of those around them. The camp covers storytelling\, rituals\, and cultural connections to nature. The lessons teach about how history can be used to understand individuals and the world around them. Participants are guided by the Indigenous values of the 4 Rs\, reciprocity\, relevance\, responsibility\, and respect\, and practice them daily. \nThe camp runs July 10-14\, 2023 from 9am – 3pm each day.
