DESCRIPTION:An ekphrastic poem is a type of description of a work of art. Former State Poet Matt Mason will lead a day of art\, words\, and creativity. Inspired by Grace Hartigan: The Gift of Attention\, Mason will lead interactive poetry activities that transform looking into writing. Discover how visual art can spark imagination and self-expression through poetry\, no experience required. Families can also enjoy free snacks\, artmaking activities\, and other hands-on experiences throughout the museum. \nThe event is free\, but registration is requested.
