Good Talks for the Good Life: Is Medical Marijuana Right for Nebraska?

Thursday, October 17, 2019
7:00 pm9:00 pm
Nebraska Union Auditorium, Lincoln

Free and open to the public.
On Thursday, October 17th in the Nebraska Union Auditorium, our "Good Talks for the Good Life" series will launch and engage the public in a provocative yet productive conversation about Medical Marijuana. This free, non-partisan, moderated discussion will include speakers from the two main national groups both for and against medical marijuana. Smart Approaches to Marijuana (SAM) is opposed to marijuana legalization and Marijuana Policy Project (MPP) has supported a broad array of legalization efforts across the country. Luke Niforatos, SAM's Chief of Staff, and Matthew Schweich, MPP's Deputy Director will join Lydia Foundation's President and Founder, Alex McKiernan, for a conversation aimed at elevating the discussion beyond talking points in order to understand the issues as clearly as possible. Our goal is conversation, not debate.
