Straight Out of Omaha Exhibit

General Crook House Museum, 5730 N 30 Street, #11b, Omaha, NE

An exhibition for the General Crook House Museum. Celebrating its 140th anniversary in 2019, the exhibition will be on display at the Museum. Douglas County Historical Society plans to curate an exhibit which will feature people, places, businesses and inventions that have received Nation-wide notoriety. Sports figures, politicians, motion picture celebrities as well as homegrown inventions such as the Rubin sandwich and tv dinner will be included. Businesses such as Omaha Steaks, Kiewit Inc, Werner, and others will be featured to showcase businesses that began locally and have reached National and/or International acclaim. Artifacts from the DCHS collection as well as some loaned items will be included.
